Itinerary
- DAY 1: TRAVEL TO FRANCE
- Fly through the night to Paris
- DAY 2: PARIS
- Your Bilingual Tour Director will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. He/She will remain with your group for your entire stay in France.
- While in Paris travel as the locals do, by foot and metro!
- Make your way to board the “Bateau Mouche” and take a cruise on the River Seine.
- After your cruise visit the 3rd floor of the Eiffel tower to see the magnificent view of Paris.
- Have dinner with your group in the Marais Quarter.
- Take time to explore the “Quartier” before returning to your hotel for a good night sleep.
- DAY 3: PARIS
- This morning, discover Île de la Cité, the historical birthplace of Paris, and the famous rive gauche.
- Visit the Gothic Cathédrale Notre-Dame, one of the supreme masterpieces of French art.
- In the afternoon, discover Philippe Auguste’s Musée du Louvre and the Richelieu Wing entirely furnished in the utmost Second Empire Style. See the Galleries’ masterpieces, such as the breathtaking Mona Lisa.
- Walk through the Jardin des Tuileries.
- Stroll through Place de la Concorde, the perfect expression of Louis XV style and see the Egyptian obelisk at its center, a war trophy from the Napoleonic wars.
- After dinner walk down the Champs-Elysées and view the Arc de Triomphe.
- DAY 4: PARIS
- Attend a French cuisine class at École le Cordon Bleu. See how a French Chef prepares one of their unforgettable meals and sample the result.
- Visit Sacred Coeur and Montmartre after lunch.
- Have some free time to explore Montmartre, which is the highest point of the city.
- Enjoy dinner with your group in Montmartre.
- DAY 5: PARIS
- After breakfast, visit the Quartier Opera.
- Take a guided visit of Opera Garnier. A grand landmark designed by Charles Garnier in the Neo-Baroque style, it is regarded as one of the architectural masterpieces of its time.
- Have lunch as a Group.
- If available see a fashion show at Galeries Lafayette. Take some time to shop around this immense and beautiful mall.
- Transfer to the train station to take the night trainDAY 6: ROME
- Meet your Italian (Bilingual) Tour Director at the train station and transfer to the hotel. He/She will remain with you for the duration of your stay in Italy.
- Take a half day guided tour of Ancient Rome in all its glory. Visit the Roman and Imperial Forums, the impressive Colusseum, Arch of Constantine and Circus Maximus.
- Since 1900 Giolitti has been providing Italy with the taste of perfection. Visit Giolitti and discover the secrets of how Gelato is made. Have a sample following the trip.
- For dinner try a traditional calzone at a local pizzeria.
- After dinner explore the Spanish Steps and make a wish at Trevi Fountain.
- DAY 7: ROME
- Join your local guide for a full day visit of Rome.
- Discover Vatican City, Rome's state-within-a-city.
- Start at St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's Basilica.
- Visit the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel .
- Afterwards, stroll over to Castel Sant’ Angelo to see the massive fortress. The castle began life in AD139 as the Emporer Hadrian’s mausoleum.
- Enjoy a meal in a quaint and local restaurant
- DAY 8: FLORENCE
- After breakfast, transfer to Florence
- Take the train to Florence and then transfer to the hotel
- Half day guided walking tour of Florence with a local guide.
- Visit the Duomo and Baptistry. Admire Brunelleschi’s dome and the Ghiberti’s famous bronze doors of 1401 that mark the city’s deliverance from plague.
- Stop for a bite to eat with your group
- Take a stroll after dinner and enjoy one of the many flavors of gelato.
- DAY 9: FLORENCE TO ROME
- Make your way over to the Uffizi Gallery (Galleria degli Uffizi) and see the fine works of Botticelli, Michelangelo, Caravaggio and Martini.
- Take some free time to explore the many Silversmiths and artisans along Ponte Vecchio.
- Grab a quick bite to eat for lunch.
- Return to Rome to have a late dinner.
- DAY 10: RETURN HOME
- After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
