Itinerary

  • DAY 1: TRAVEL TO FRANCE
    • Transatlantic flight to Paris
  • DAY 2: PARIS
    • Meet your Prométour Tour Director at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. They will be staying with you for the duration of your stay.
    • Transfer to your centrally located Paris hotel for check-in.
    • Drop your luggage in the storage room and put on your walking shoes.
    • While in Paris travel as the locals do, by foot and metro!
    • Stretch your legs and stroll along the Champs-Elysées. The world most famous avenue.
    • Visit the beautiful Opera Garnier and have a guided tour.
    • Climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower and take in the view of Paris.
    • Have dinner with your group in a local restaurant
  • DAY 3: PARIS
    • Take a guided tour of the Louvre and see some of its wonderful masterpieces. (4 hours)
    • Have lunch in the Latin Quarter near Notre-Dame Cathedral.
    • Enter the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral and have a guided tour. After your tour, climb to the top of the bell tower to see the view of the city check out the Gargoyles who are enjoying the very same view.
    • After lunch, make your way beyond the city limits to Cimetière du Père-Lachaise.
    • Find the final resting place for some well known musicians buried there include Bizet, Chopin, Poulenc, Rossini, and Dukas, as well as opera singers Maria Callas and Edith Piaf, dancer Isadora Duncan, and American rock and roll star Jim Morrison.
    • Return to Paris for dinner at La Bonne Franquette, where you will be entertained with music as you enjoy your meal.
  • DAY 4: PARIS / VERSAILLES
    • This morning make your way to Cite de la Musique. Take part in a guided tour that will focus on instruments from around the world. This tour will take you on a journey through the rich collection of instruments from the Arab, African, Asian, and American worlds. Following your tour, take part in a workshop.
    • Have lunch and then board your coach to take you to Versailles. Visit the grounds and the Chateau Versailles and then return to Paris for dinner.
    • Have an evening musical performance.
  • DAY 5: SALZBURG / VIENNA
    • Today pull on your white coveralls and ride a trolley into the salt mines of Salzwelten Salzburg. Get a traditional miner’s welcome then make your way in to discover the mines. Learn about the connections between the salt from the Dürrnberg and the baroque city centre of Salzburg.
    • After your tour, have lunch as a group and head out for Vienna.
    • Join your local guide for a tour of the history, culture and architecture that makes up Vienna.
    • Have dinner as a group and have some free time to explore the city this evening.
  • DAY 6: VIENNA
    • This morning attend Holy Mass with the Vienna Boys’ Choir at the Hofburgkapelle. (Tickets based on availability) or have a guided visit of the Belvedere garden palace home to Gustav Klimt’s legendary painting “The Kiss”.
    • Take a guided tour of the Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the imperial family. This palace is considered one of the most beautiful baroque palaces in Europe!
    • Have dinner with your group in local restaurant.
  • DAY 7 : VIENNA
    • This morning visit the House of Music and explore Vienna’s only Museum of Sound.
    • At the House of Music you will observe the great composers, look over their shoulders as they work and confront the greatest musicians of our time. Learn about the musical future of computer music.
    • In the afternoon make your way to Domgasse #5, Mozart’s only apartment that has survived to this day. Become immersed in the vibrant world of Mozart!
    • Transfer to Innsbruke and stop along the way for dinner.
    • Overnight in the former Olympic village of Innsbruck.
  • DAY 8 : INNSBRUCK / LIECHTENSTEIN / LUCERNE
    • Wake up at the site of two Winter Olympics (1964 and 1976).
    • Enjoy some free time exploring this magnificent city.
    • Continue on to Liechtenstein before heading to Lucerne, land of legendary folk hero William Tell.
    • Stop in Liechtenstein, an Alpine principality dating from the Holy Roman Empire. Pass the royal family’s hilltop castle as you continue through the mountains to Switzerland.
    • Dinner and overnight in Lucerne
  • DAY 9 : LUCERNE
    • Join your local guide on a walking tour of the Old Town. See the quaint town squares, the beautifully painted buildings and the Old Town walls with its many towers! Cross the Kapellbrucke bridge.
    • After lunch, discover The Water Tower and the Chapel Bridge, Lucerne’s trademarks both built ca. 1300. The oldest preserved wooden bridge in Europe displays a series of 17th century paintings on triangular panels under its eaves.
    • Dinner with your group and overnight in Lucerne.
  • DAY 10 : LUCERNE / MUNICH
    • On your way back to Munich, stop just outside Zurich at the Lindt and Sprungli Chocolate Factory. Visit the small chocolate museum and pick up some chocolate souvenirs at their onsite store. Prices are a little more reasonable then in the stores.
    • Stop for lunch along the way.
    • This afternoon, visit the Neuschwanstein Castle. This palace has appeared in several movies, and was the inspiration for Sleeping Beauty Castle at both Disneyland Park and for the Cinderella Castles at the Magic Kingdom.
    • Arrive in Munich for dinner and some free time.
  • DAY 11 : RETURN HOME
    • After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
