Itinerary
- Day 1 : DEPART FOR SPAIN
- Fly through the night to Paris
- Day 2 : MADRID
- Meet your Spanish Tour Director at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
- Have an orientation tour with your Tour Director, exchange money and pick up some picnic supplies to have a picnic at the Parque del Retiro. (lunch supplies not included)
- Then make your way over to visit the Royal Palace.
- Have dinner as a group and retire to your hotel for a good night sleep.
- Day 3 : MADRID
- After breakfast, take a guided tour of the Museo Prado and Museo Sofia.
- Head to Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas for a visit of the Museo Taurino. Explore this well known bull ring and learn the history of bullfighting in Spain.
- Enjoy a dinner as a group.
- Day 4 : TOLEDO
- After breakfast, depart for Toledo by bus.
- Stop at a traditional sword workshop; learn how metal is forged into elaborate weaponry.
- Discover the history of Toledo’s fortified walls on a guided walking tour.
- Enter the spectacular Cathedral of Toledo.
- See El Greco’s art at the Iglesia de Santo Tomé & enter Santa Maria la Blanca (synagogue)
- Have some time to explore on your own.
- Return to Madrid and have dinner with your Prométour Tour Director and then sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of a flamenco show.
- Day 5 : MADRID / BARCELONA
- After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to the train station with your Prometour Tour Director.
- Take the train to Barcelona and transfer to your hotel for check-in.
- Take a guided tour for an afternoon of Gaudi Highlights:
- - Parque Guell - an Art Nouveau extravaganza
- - Casa Batlló on Paseo de Gracia
- - The “unfinished” Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Familia
- Head for Las Ramblas, the shortest mile you will ever walk!
- Dine in a typical Catalonian restaurant.
- Day 6 : BARCELONA / FERRY TO CIVITAVECCHIA / ROME
- After breakfast, visit the Museu del Futbol at Camp Nou home of Club Barcelona’s football club and Europe’s largest football stadium.
- Enjoy some free time in Barcelona.
- Say goodbye to your Spanish Tour Director. Your local Italian Tour Director will meet you at debarkation of the ferry in Civitavecchia.
- Board the Grimaldi Ferry to Rome and enjoy the amenities of the ferry; Restaurants and shops, Video games room, Disco, Swimming pool, and Health Center.
- Day 7 : ROME
- Breakfast on the ferry.
- Arrive in Civitavecchia and transfer to Rome.
- Get to know your Italian Tour Director over lunch. (included)
- After dinner, visit Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps with your Tour Director.
- Make your way back to the hotel.
- Day 8 : ROME / VATICAN
- After breakfast, join your local guide for a half day visit of Rome.
- Discover Vatican City, Rome's state within a city.
- Start at St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's Basilica.
- Visit the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel.
- After visiting the Vatican stroll over to Castel Sant’ Angelo to see the massive fortress. The castle began life in AD139 as the Emporer Hadrian’s mausoleum.
- Dinner with your Prométour Tour Director.
- Day 9 : ROME
- After breakfast, have a half day local guided tour of Ancient Rome in all its glory. See the Roman and Imperial Forums, the impressive Colusseum, Arch of Constantine and Circus Maximus.
- Have lunch on your own and then head over to Giolitti.
- Visit Giolitti, one of the finest gelato manufacturers in Rome. Learn the secret of Gelato and have a taste.
- For dinner try a calzone at a local pizzeria with your group.
- Day 10 : RETURN FLIGHT FROM ITALY
- Breakfast at the hotel with your Prométour Tour Director.
- Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
